Spin Alignment of Vector Mesons and Angular Momentum.
The project was based on using data mining and data analysis skills to extract signal from millions of events of background from the heavy ion collision Monte-Carlo simulated data from the ALICE experiment, LHC at CERN. It involved deriving complex mathematical equations
and application of Einstein’s special relativity to study the kinematics of the particles and to
calculate useful physical quantities like spin alignment and angular momentum in high energy collisions. More technical details can be found in the report.
