Brief Bio

Hi! I'm an enthusiastic and friendly guy, born and raised in Mumbai.

Since childhood, I was a curious boy who always wanted to know how things work at a fundamental level. I was introduced to science at a very young age by reading encyclopedias about dinosaurs and the solar system.

A Physics Major

I completed a Master of Science in physics and minored in mathematics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research, India.
I can say that I have happily satiated my hunger to know about how the universe works and the magical laws of nature! Learning about my childhood-fascinated subject of Einstein's relativity, the mystical world of quantum mechanics, astrophysics, black holes and dark matter to name a few, was a fascinating journey! I feel like learning physics has boosted my ability to think and tackle complex problems with a great level of understanding and intuition.  You are welcome to learn more about my work by checking out my past projects.

ABOUT

Career in Data Science

I am currently pursuing MS in Data Science at New York University in New York, NY.

It was quite a smooth transition from experimental high energy physics to data science as all of my projects involved a lot of data analysis.

Also, I felt like there was a need for me to utilize the insane amount of mathematics that I have learned in India after high school. My aim is to use applied mathematics, statistics and computational power to solve real-world problems. What better field than Data Science and what better place than New York City to achieve this goal?

Activities/Adventures

I like to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I usually waste my time playing FIFA and scrolling through memes on facebook. I do activities like taekwondo and rock climbing whenever I get time.

I like to cycle/bike/jog around the city.

I love chai and Indian food of course.
